What is a Ribbon interview?
Your Ribbon interview is a conversation with an AI interviewer. You’ll answer questions aloud, much like a phone call. You’ll see a simple interview screen with basic controls. There’s no AI avatar and no screen sharing. If the hiring team requires video, you’ll also see your own camera feed. When can I take it?
Open the link in your interview invitation when you’re ready. There’s no need to book a time. Check your invitation for any deadline or instructions from the hiring team. How long will it take?
Check the estimated duration shown before you start, and set aside enough time to finish without interruptions. The length may vary depending on your answers. Before you start
- Choose a quiet space where you can speak comfortably.
- Use Google Chrome on a desktop or laptop for the smoothest experience. If you opened the link inside an app, such as Indeed, copy it into Chrome.
- Check your internet connection and allow microphone access when prompted. If video is required, allow camera access too.
- Complete the Sound Check before starting. This checks that you can hear the interviewer and that your microphone is working.
What should I expect during the interview?
Listen to each question and answer in your own words. Take your time and share examples from your experience. The interviewer may ask follow-up questions for more detail. What if I have a technical issue?
