# Get ready for your Ribbon interview

> How to set up your space and device before you begin.

Your Ribbon interview is a conversation with an AI interviewer. You'll answer questions aloud, much like a phone call. Here's how to get ready.

## Before you begin

Find a quiet, private space where you can speak comfortably. For the best experience, we recommend:

* Using a desktop or laptop
* Allowing microphone access and, if video is required, camera access
* Closing unnecessary tabs and applications
* Connecting to reliable Wi-Fi or a wired network
* Turning off any VPN or Data Saver settings
* Keeping your device connected to power

Follow the on-screen instructions to check your sound and equipment before you begin.

## During the interview

Listen to each question and answer in your own words. Take your time and finish your answer before moving on.

There's no AI avatar on screen. If the hiring team requires video, you'll see your own camera feed while speaking with the AI interviewer.

## How long will it take?

Check the estimated duration shown before you begin, and allow time to finish without interruptions. The length may vary depending on your answers.
