# What to do if your interview ends unexpectedly

> How to pick up where you left off after a dropped call.

If your interview ends unexpectedly, a connection issue may have caused the call to drop. Your progress is saved, and you'll have one hour after the call drops to resume and pick up where you left off.

## How to resume your interview

Check that your internet connection is stable, then reopen your original interview link within one hour of the call dropping to continue. If you're having trouble connecting, our [Troubleshoot network and connection issues](https://support.ribbon.ai/troubleshooting/network-and-connection.md) guide can help.

If you aren't able to resume within that hour, your interview will be submitted as is. If you'd like to redo your interview, reach out directly to the hiring manager.

## What if I ended the call myself?

If you ended the call yourself, your interview was submitted and you won't be able to resume that session. If you'd like to redo your interview, reach out directly to the hiring manager.
